Ross Elliott Surveying

I’m originally from Consett, County Durham, and started out in the construction industry as a carpenter and joiner back in 1990. After completing my apprenticeship, I continued my studies at Framwellgate Moor College and later went on to Leeds Metropolitan University, where I graduated in 2000. I became a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in 2005.

Since qualifying, I’ve worked across a range of roles within both the public and private sectors. My experience includes time with private surveying firms, local authorities, and housing associations, covering projects across the West Midlands and the North East. This mix of work has given me a solid grounding in both residential and commercial surveying, with a strong understanding of how buildings are constructed, how they age, and how to manage and maintain them properly.

In 2007, I set up Ross Elliott Surveying with the aim of providing clear, honest, and practical advice to clients. I take pride in the personal service I offer, whether it’s helping someone understand an issue with their home or guiding them through a complex project. I enjoy meeting people, solving problems, and making sure clients feel supported and well-informed throughout the process.
