Ross Elliott Surveying

I’m originally from Consett, County Durham, and started out in the construction industry as a carpenter and joiner back in 1990. After completing my apprenticeship, I continued my studies at Framwellgate Moor College and later went on to Leeds Metropolitan University, where I graduated in 2000. I became a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in 2005.

Since qualifying, I have worked in both the public and private sectors. My experience includes roles with private surveying practices, local authorities, and housing associations across the North East and the West Midlands. This has given me a broad understanding of residential and commercial property, how buildings are constructed, how they perform over time, and how defects and maintenance issues should be managed.

In 2007, I established Ross Elliott Surveying to provide clear, practical advice based on experience and sound judgement. I place a strong emphasis on personal service and clear communication, whether I am helping a homeowner understand an issue with their property or advising on a more complex project. I aim to ensure clients feel informed, supported, and confident in the decisions they are making.
